St Francis’ College is an independent and wonderful day as well as a boarding school for girls that are located in the Letchworth Conservation Area in Hertfordshire that established in 1933. It is one of the Hertfordshire private schools that are located within the first of the world’s Garden city, Letchworth and managed by Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation. The school is situated on the loveliest road, The Broadway in Letchworth. It is spread over 3.1 hectares campus comprising of gardens, chapel, playing fields, dance studio, theatre, gym, swimming pool, tennis/Netball courts, hockey pitches, and other on-site facilities. It accommodates around 350 girls on their campus.

This is one of the best educational institutes that promote traditional, moral, spiritual values with intellectual, physical, and creative development thereby encouraging the overall growth of the student. Age Criteria-Age eligibility for girls are 3-18 years for day school and a boarding school for girls aged 10-19 years. Few boys aged 3 to 4 years are also accommodated in day school.

Academics, Sports and Arts

The school is strong in its sports, drama, and music arena. They encourage students by conducting tournaments, plays, regular concerts, and several other co-curricular activities for the overall development of the student. To state a few, they won hockey and netball tournaments, have their productions like the Maze and the Minotaur, Michael Morpurgo’s Private Peaceful, and so on, took part in events like Youth Drama festival and held concerts. In boarding school, a homely feel is maintained and regular trips are held as well.

On the academic stream, they have been in the top 100 GCSE schools. Their pass rate has been 98 percent in overall. Students who have left have settled down in top universities. They have shown an edge on a creative path along with academics.

Other than these the students have collaborated with the University of Hertfordshire on Antibiotic resistance and overcoming it globally. They participated in Birmingham’s European Microbiology Conference and Solutions towards a Sustainable World- STEM conference in Cambridge and other events to display their knowledge in the world’s development.

Their art department is excellent with fine art, photography, and fashion. They have held awesome exhibitions on these arenas and recycled fashion is brilliant.
